This policy describes what personal information we collect and how we use it.

T-Angle.org (“T-Angle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates to serve all site users. That goal powers all of the decisions we make, including how we gather and respect personal information. This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) exists to be as clear and straightforward as possible, because we know that you (“You,” “user,” “site user,” or “valued user”) care about how information you provide to us is used and shared. Our aim is for you — a valued user of our site — to always feel informed and empowered with respect to your privacy on T-Angel.

This Privacy Policy applies to all information received by T-Angle, both online and offline, on any Platform, (“Platform”, includes the T-Angle website, mobile applications, social media, and T-Angle-associated linked sites), as well as any electronic, written, or verbal communications.

Our Commitment

We will not sell, share or trade our users’ names or Personal Information (“Personal Information”) with any other entity, nor send mailings to our users on behalf of other organizations. This Privacy Policy applies to all information received by T-Angle, both online and offline, on any Platform, as well as any electronic, written, or verbal communications.

Acceptance of Terms

By visiting T-Angle and/or using our Services, you agree to the terms (“Terms”) of this Privacy Policy and our accompanying Terms of Use. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use (collectively, this “Agreement”), please do not use the T-Angle website.

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Use

The Information We Collect

We collect information directly from individuals, from third parties, and automatically through the T-Angle Platform.You authorize us to use, store and otherwise process any personal information which relates to and identifies you, including (but not limited to) your name, email address, current residential region and age group, to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the services which are available through our website, our partners, successors, assignees, associates, sub-contractors, or other third parties.

  1.         Personal Information

For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information means any information or set of information that identifies or could be used by or on behalf of T-Angle to identify a natural or legal person. Personal Information does not include information that is encoded, aggregated, anonymized, or publicly available information that has not been combined with non-public Personal Information.

Examples of different purposes for which we may collect Personal Information include, but are not limited to: 

  • The registration process for Registered Users;
  • Use of areas of the T-Angle website, in which you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself, such as your name, email address, current residential region, age group, username and password, falling under the registration process for Registered Users (“Registration Process”); For more information about your choices for publicly displayed information, see the section below about Your Choices.
  • Information such as topics of interest to you and your activity such as the questions and answers you post, your comments, the information you list as credentials, your edits to your content and any other information that you choose to add to your public-facing profile will be available for viewing by the public and other users of the T-Angle Platform.Your content, date and time stamps, and all associated comments are publicly viewable on the T-Angle Platform, along with your username. This also may be indexed by search engines and be republished elsewhere on the Internet in accordance with our Terms of Service. For more information about what you can change, see the below section on Your Choices.
  • You can connect your existing T-Angle account with certain third-party networks like Twitter or Google, for example (each a “Linked Network”). You can also elect to sign in or sign up to the T-Angle Platform through a Linked Network. If you elect to sign up through or connect a Linked Network, we receive certain profile and account information about you from the Linked Network. These Linked Networks may also appear in your profile, so that people can find you on these Linked Networks. The specific information provided to us by Linked Networks is determined by you and such Linked Networks, and may vary by network. In all cases, the permissions page for the Linked Network will describe the information being shared. You should consult their respective privacy policies for information about their practices. You may elect to use information from the Linked Network to populate your profile on the T-Angle Platform or to import your contacts to help you find and connect with them on the T-Angel Platform or to invite them to join. For information on your choices, including how to disconnect a Linked Network from your T-Angle profile, see the Your Choices section below. 
  • Donations made directly to T-Angle and to T-Angle made through resources including “A third party company” from which we collect Personal Information such as your name, billing address, and e-mail address, if you have not already provided these details. We collect information about your donation, including the amount of your donation. The third party companies’ policies can be reviewed on their websites.
  • We also collect (but do not retain) credit card numbers which are processed by a third-party payment vendor subject to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. By using a third-party vendor, your information is subject to use based on the vendor’s terms of service and policies. T-Angle encourages you to review these policies carefully;
  • When you communicate with us (via email, through the T-Angle Platform, or otherwise), we may maintain a record of your communication.
  • Job applications;Volunteer applications;
  • Surveys. Periodically, T-Angle may invite you to participate in completing online surveys. If you have created a T-Angle account, information we collect from these surveys may be associated with you personally;
  • Contact you regarding your donation(s), as to the quality of the service, as well as any potential errors that may have occurred;
  • Voluntary submissions to T-Angle requesting information about our services, signing up to receive information from us, or sending us an e-mail;
  • E-mail subscriptions. T-Angle may also compile a subscription list to which you voluntarily submit your name, email address, current residential region and age group, The purpose of such a subscription list would be to send you periodic updates to subscribers on matters of interest, provided that you will have the ability to opt out of further communications in accordance with procedures described in each such update.
  • Public Forums, Chats, or Other Features. Depending on how you interact with the Services, you should not share your Personal Information with other Users, such as peers and other users who participate in chat, forums or other non-private locations. Anything users post in the public forums, chats, or other features will be accessible to other users and may not be able to be deleted. Accordingly, T-Angle strongly discourages posting any Personal Information in these places and it is your responsibility not to share Personal Information in such non-private locations.
  1.     Non-Personal/Other  Information

In addition to the Personal Information, we and our Partners may collect additional information that does not personally identify you (“Other Information”). Other Information may include information collected:

            a.      We use cookies, log files, pixel tags, local storage objects, and other tracking technologies to automatically collect information about your activities, such as your searches, page views, date and time of your visit, and other information about your use of the T-Angle Platform. We also collect information that your computer or mobile device provides to us in connection with your use of the T-Angle Platform such as your browser type, type of computer or mobile device, browser language, IP address, mobile carrier, unique device identifier, location, and requested and referring URLs. We also receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with the T-Angle Platform, even if you have not created an account. 

           b.       Information that we automatically collect using technical methods, including but not limited to cookies (“Cookies”), JavaScript tags, web beacons, pixel gifs, Flash cookies, and other locally stored objects. Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer’s hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit. We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to enhance your experience using T-Angle and to allow us to collect Other Information. You may be able to disable cookies and/or other locally stored cookies by disabling them in your browser or on your device. Please consult your Internet browser’s documentation for information on how to do this and how to delete persistent cookies. However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, T-Angle may not function properly. We use JavaScript tags to trigger a sequence of events that includes viewing a first-party cookie (or setting that cookie if it does not already exist) and to help us tailor and optimize T-Angle.

           c.      We collect browsing information – such as IP address and location, date and time stamp, user agent, T-Angle cookie ID (if applicable), URL, unique advertising or content identifiers (if applicable) and time zone, and other information about user activities on the T-Angle Platform, as well as on third-party sites and services that have embedded our T-Angle pixels (“Pixels”), widgets, plug-ins, buttons, or related services. We may also receive information about you from third parties, such as other users, partners (including ad partners), or our affiliated companies.

           d.      Do Not Track (“DNT”).  T-Angle does not support Do Not Track with respect to the Services at this time. Do Not Track is a privacy preference that you can set in your web browser to indicate that you do not want certain information about your webpage visits collected across websites when you have not interacted with that service on the page. Partners

Partners are included but not limited to web development and web application providers, individual and organizational sponsors, individual and organizational endorsement providers, non-profit organizations, government organizations, media, independent writers and journalists, etc.

Search Engines and Other Sites

Search engines and other sites not affiliated with T-Angle, such as archive.org or google.com, may crawl the Site and make available to the public publicly-available content and postings from the site. The Site may also contain links to other websites. T-Angle is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. T-Angle encourages its visitors and users to be aware of such search engines and other sites when they leave the Site and to read the privacy statement of each website they visit.

How We Use and Share the Information

We do not sell your personal information – such as your name and contact information – to third parties to use for their own marketing purposes. T-Angle uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • All of your User Content on the Platform will be publicly viewable and shareable by other users both within and outside the Platform.Your content, including your username, profile avatar i profile information, and certain associated activity information is available to other users of the T-Angle Platform and may also be viewed publicly. Public viewing includes availability to non-registered visitors and can occur when users share your content across other sites or services. In addition, your content may be indexed by search engines. In some cases, we may charge for access to your content and public information on the T-Angle Platform. See the section below about Your Choices for information about how you may change how certain information is shared or viewed by others.
  • Provide our Services. To provide you the services we offer on the T-Angle Platform and make the T-Angle Platform available to the public, communicate with you about your use of the T-Angle Platform, respond to your inquiries, provide troubleshooting, and for other customer service purposes.
  • Marketing and Promotions. For marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send you news and newsletters, special offers, and promotions, or to otherwise contact you about products or information we think may interest you, including information about third-party products and services.
  • We may share your information with third-party service providers who use this information to perform services for us, such as payment processors, hosting providers, auditors, advisors, consultants, customer service and support providers, as well as those who assist us in providing the PR, marketing and promotional services, etc
  • We may share some or all of the Personal Information and Other Information with any of our parent companies, subsidiaries, or other companies under common control with us.
  • As we develop our services, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate transaction, merger, reorganization, sale of assets, dissolution, or similar event, the Personal Information and Other Information may be part of the transferred assets.
  • Comply with Law. To comply with legal obligations, as part of our general business operations, and for other business administration purposes.
  • Prevent Misuse. Where we believe necessary to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy.
  • We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by law.
  • We may disclose information where we believe it necessary to respond to claims asserted against us or, comply with legal process (e.g., subpoenas or warrants), enforce or administer our agreements and terms, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and protect the rights, property or safety of T-Angel, its users, or others.
  • We may also share data as otherwise directed by you (for example, to fulfill a transaction).

Accessing and Modifying Information and Communication Preferences

You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging in to your account. You may also make a number of other adjustments to settings or the display of information about you as described in more detail in the following section about Your Choices.

In addition, individuals may manage their receipt of marketing communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any T-Angle marketing e-mail or by following the instructions found on the Platform. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our subscription databases.

How We Protect the Information

The security of your information is important to us. T-Angle has implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no website or Internet transmission is completely secure. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal information safe, such as choosing a strong password and keeping it private, as well as logging out of your user account, and closing your web browser when finished using the T-Angle Platform on a shared or unsecured device.

Retention Period

Generally, we will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account or profile is active, or for the length of time needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Private messages are stored for up to one year. Group messages (in chatrooms, groupchat) are stored for up to one year. Posts in community forums (including subcommunities) are maintained on community forums at the discretion of Community admins. T-Angle will store your user account and associated Personal Information if your account is active. After a period of inactivity greater than 1 calendar year, T-Angle may, at its discretion, purge Personal Information related to inactive accounts.

Your Choices

You may, of course, decline to submit information through the T-Angle Platform, in which case we may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may also control the types of notifications and communications we send, limit the information shared within the T-Angel Platform about you, and otherwise amend certain privacy settings. Here is some further information about some of your choices:

Your Content. You may edit or delete the answers that you post at any time. Any post you have posted may remain on the T-Angle Platform. Any deleted content will be removed from third-party sites from which it has been shared via T-Angle’s standard sharing features; however we have no control over deletions or changes to your content if it has been shared manually by others. 

Emails and Notifications. When you join the T-Angle Platform by signing up for an account or creating a profile, as part of the service, you will receive email digests containing content from the T-Angle Platform that we believe may match your interests. You may also receive notices about other content from the T-Angle Platform that may be of interest to you, such as articles that you posted/replied or that match your interests. In addition, users may be able to send communications and invites to their imported contacts through their T-Angle account, by email, text, or phone. You can manage all your email and notice preferences in your account profile settings, under your Emails and Notifications settings. If you opt out of receiving emails or other notifications about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you transactional emails about your account or any services you have requested or received from us.

Topics and Spaces. You can change topics and articles that you are affiliated with within your profile.

Credentials. You can change your credentials that are displayed in your profile or in connection with a specific answer.

 

Deleted or Deactivated Account. If you choose “Delete Account” in your profile’s “Privacy Settings,” then all of your content will be removed from public visibility on the T-Angle Platform, and it may not be restored by us, even if you change your mind. If you choose “Deactivate Account,” then you will no longer receive any communications from us, and users will not be able to interact with you; however your content will remain on the T-Angle Platform. Once you deactivate your account, you can reactivate it any time by choosing to log in.

Third-Party Ad Networks

For information about and to opt out of interest-based ads from many ad networks, go to:

Linked Networks. You may connect or disconnect your Linked Networks, such as Google, through the Account Settings tab in your profile settings, and you may access, amend and delete much of your profile information through your profile settings. Once you disconnect a Linked Network, we will not receive information from that Linked Network going forward unless you choose to reconnect it. You may also control whether the Linked Network is visible in your profile and, if you enable contact imports, how you message your contacts to find and connect with you on the T-Angle Platform. Important Notices to Non-U.S. Residents

Our Platform and our servers are operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any Personal Information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States. By using the Platform and by providing us Personal Information in any manner, you consent to this transfer and our use of the information and data provided by you in accordance with this Privacy Policy. T-Angle’s website or any externally-facing communications from T-Angle (from any Platform, online or offline, verbal, written, or electronic) may contain links to third-party websites. T-Angle has no control over the privacy practices or the content of those websites and is therefore not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites. You should check the applicable third-party privacy policy and terms of use when visiting any other websites.

Nondiscrimination

T-Angle does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

Children

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 13 through the Services. If you are under 13, please do not give us any Personal Information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide Personal Information through the Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to us, please contact us, and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.

California Residents

Except with respect to T-Angle Users as discussed above, it is T-Angle’s policy not to disclose any personal information we collect to third parties for direct marketing purposes under any circumstances. However, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 requires that all California residents be afforded the option to exercise your choice of whether your personal information may be shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes or not, as well as to receive information specified in the statute if your personal information is disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes. Accordingly, if you are a California resident and you wish to inform T-Angle whether you permit or refuse the sharing of your personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes, or if you wish to request certain information if your personal information were to be disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, please contact us as described in the “How to Contact Us” section below.

California law permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed their personal information (if any) for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year, as well as the types of personal information disclosed to those parties.
